MyanmarChallenge.org - Challenge yourself to give to the Myanmar cyclone victims

MyanmarChallenge.org

Sharon and I have set up a site/movement called the Myanmar Challenge in efforts to spread the word about the great need for disaster relief aid for the victims of the recent cyclone that devastated Myanmar and to challenge people to do their part and contribute. Any thing you can give or anyway you can spread the word would be greatly appreciated. Our goal is to get 1,000 people and corporations to take the challenge. Read our press release on Forbes.com!

In addition to that, I am hosting a sale of names owned by Sharon and myself with $50 from each name sold going to World Vision, one of the premier organizations on site and actively getting food, water, and shelter to the victims. My goal is to sell 20 names to raise $1,000 for World Vision. Many names we have included in this sale have normal asking prices of several hundred dollars to resellers and thousands of dollars to end-users, so please have a look and find a bargain for yourself so you can give to the victims.

I personally have also donated $500 to our own collection of donations, which are going directly to MSF: Doctors Without Borders, one of the best organizations if not THE best to donate to for this as they’ve had many personnel actively IN Myanmar since before the cyclone (well over 1,000). Other organizations may have had problems getting aid into the country lately, but Doctors Without Borders and World Vision have not.

Please do what you can - whether it’s giving your own money (through our portal or directly to any of the organizations listed here, pledging a portion of your sales of domains or whatever (we will list your pledge here if you do and will add you to the list of challenge takers here), or simply spreading the word about it, which still qualifies you as taking the challenge so make sure you fill this out if you do in order to make the list of challenge takers. We’re counting on people like you to help us and these organizations save thousands of lives and rebuild Myanmar.
