I no doubt will get in trouble for this on DNForum, but after seeing the hundredth 6,000 uniques/day former video site domain with predominantly Turkish traffic for sale, I HAD to speak my mind.

Thanks to wonderful NamePros.com member StrictlyNames, we have a juicy bit of news before it becomes official. What has resulted in the new reigning largest ccTLD domain sale in history (thankfully beating out the deranged Nav.no sale), Poker.de sold for €695,000, or $937,553.31 by current currency exchange rates, in the live domain name auction held by NicIt.com at the DomainFest Amsterdam conference. What can we learn from this? The same thing we can learn from the recent sales of Poker.com and Porn.com…NameMedia (BuyDomains/Afternic) REALLY messed up by getting rid of their adult and gambling domains and listings! They obviously didn’t know that porn and poker were both so loved!
